DoDoAlbum Support

Welcome to DoDoAlbum support. DoDoAlbum is an on-device photo organization tool for iPhone and iPad — all your photos, albums, points and preferences stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

App version: 1.0 Supported iOS: 16.0 or later

1. Quick Start

1.1 Grant Photo Access

When you open DoDoAlbum for the first time, you will be asked for photo access:

If you previously denied access, see FAQ Q1.

1.2 Browse Your Photos

The main screen shows your photos in a two-column waterfall layout. Scroll to load more. Tap any photo to open the detail viewer.

1.3 Organize Photos

There are three ways to organize a photo:

Gesture / Action Result
Swipe up on a photo Move to Trash
Swipe down on a photo Hide the photo
Long-press or tap Select, then choose photos Add the selection to an album

Each successful organization action earns you points (see Section 4).

1.4 Undo Anything

Every action (hide, delete, archive) shows an Undo button at the bottom of the screen. Tap it within a few seconds to revert the action. You can also undo from a toast notification that appears after the action.

1.5 Restore from Trash

Photos you delete go to the Trash first. Open the album list and tap Trash to:

Note: Once you tap Delete All in the Trash, the photos are removed from iOS permanently and cannot be recovered by DoDoAlbum.

1.6 Pin Frequently Used Albums

Long-press an album in the list to pin it to the top. Your pinned albums are stored locally on your device.

1.7 Change Language

Open Settings → Language, choose your preferred language, then tap Restart Now. The app will relaunch in the new language.

DoDoAlbum supports: English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어.

3. Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. The app says I have no photo access. What should I do?

Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → DoDoAlbum, then choose All Photos (or Selected Photos if you prefer). Return to DoDoAlbum and pull down to refresh.

Q2. Where do hidden photos go?

Hidden photos are moved to iOS’s built-in Hidden album. To view them again, use iOS’s Photos app, or open the album list in DoDoAlbum (the Hidden album is shown in the system albums section).

Q3. I deleted a photo by mistake. Can I get it back?

If the photo is in the Trash, yes — open Trash and tap Restore. If you have already tapped Delete All in the Trash, the photo is gone from iOS and DoDoAlbum cannot recover it (Apple does not allow apps to restore permanently deleted photos).

Q4. Why don’t the album counts refresh after I press Undo?

This was fixed in the latest version. Pull down on the photo grid to force-refresh the album list if you still see stale counts.

Q5. Why did the app ask me to restart after I changed the language?

iOS only loads localized strings when an app launches. Restarting once applies the new language to every screen.

Q6. Does DoDoAlbum upload my photos?

No. DoDoAlbum does not contain any third-party SDK, analytics service, advertising network, or remote server. The app does not initiate any network connection. All processing is on-device.

Q7. Can I sync my pinned albums and points across devices?

No. DoDoAlbum does not have an account system and does not sync. Your data is stored locally and is removed if you uninstall the app.

Q8. Why does the app crash or freeze when I open a very large album?

Loading tens of thousands of assets at once may exhaust memory on older devices. Try scrolling slowly to let the cache catch up, or organize in smaller batches.

Q9. Does DoDoAlbum modify my original photos?

No. DoDoAlbum only changes metadata (which album a photo belongs to, the isHidden flag). The pixel data is never altered.

Q10. What permissions does DoDoAlbum request?

Only two:

DoDoAlbum does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, camera, calendar, or any other system resource.

4. Organizer Levels & Points

Each time you organize a photo, you earn points. Points are stored locally on your device.
